For over 30 years now, each summer the Ottawa Jazz Festival has featured some of the jazz world’s most renowned and cutting-edge musicians in various genres including jazz, rhythm and blues, soul and gospel. Among the international stars featured this year were Earth, Wind and Fire, Aretha Franklin and Dianne Reeves. Some of the Canadian talents showcased were South African-born singer Lorraine Klaasen, Cuban-Canadian trumpeter Alexis Baro, the award-winning Montreal Jubliation Gospel Choir and Nova Scotian songstress Cyndi Cain.
