Over 400 guests were at the Sir John MacDonald Building on Parliament Hill to celebrate Black History Month. Dubbed “African Day on the Hill”, the event was organised by the African Association of Ottawa led by President John Adeyefa and sponsored by le Conseil des écoles catholiques du Centre-Est.  This excellent showcase included inspirational speeches, musical performances, traditional African dances, a fashion show, plus exotic African food to round off a thoroughly enjoyable evening. In attendance were members of federal, provincial and municipal governments, diplomats, educators and more.
