We live in extraordinary times, we live in dangerous times! To paraphrase A Tale of Two Cities: It is the best of times; it is the worst of times! The corona virus pandemic has taken over the lives of all people across the globe, no country or continent has been spared. It is a phenomenon unseen and unprecedented for this generation. Black Ottawa Scene will play its part in keeping our readers and our communities safe. Remember, wash and wash and wash your hands frequently, don’t touch your face and cough into your elbow or into a tissue. And maintain social distance , six feet from one another. We know you have heard it before but it is all worth repeating.
The corona pandemic has affected all aspects of our social and economic life worldwide. Due to the lock-down and cancellation of all public events, we are unable to bring you the usual monthly fare of events in our community. However we bring you updates on the pandemic and how to protect yourselves and your loved ones, as well as features from our regular columnists.
Top Story is from community leader and activist Andy Kusi-Appiah with his insights on managing the crisis and ensuing chaos caused by the pandemic. We also offer a Special Feature on the pandemic with important information such as whether you can have sexual relations during this period of enforced isolation.
