The party was on Petrie Island on Saturday as Carivibe 2017 continued with a parade, food festival and block party.

The program for Carivibe, an annual event celebrating Caribbean culture in the nation’s capital, began on Thursday, but things heated up (despite some wet weather) on Saturday with a parade of people dancing to Caribbean music down St. Joseph Boulevard in Orléans.

There was also the beach and food festival at Petrie Island and the Bam Bam Block Party that was scheduled to feature 16 DJs at three venues.

Carivibe is to wrap up with the Ice Cream Sunday weekend cool-down party on Petrie and a boat cruise from Gatineau.
