Colleagues, family and friends of long-time Ottawa resident Catherine Kizito, were in attendance at a reception to mark her retirement after 42 years with the Canadian Federal Public Service. ACAO President John Adeyefa and Executive Director Hector Addison were there to honour her on this special occasion. Prior to her retirement, Ugandan-born Catherine worked as an Administrative Officer with Natural Resources Canada. Catherine is also well known in the national capital for her volunteerism and community engagement, first with the Ugandan community and currently as a member of the Board of Directors of the African Canadian Association of Ottawa (ACAO).
