The Ottawa Life Centre on Innes Road was a hive of activity on Friday 8 November, as hundreds of family and friends of the Robinson family came to celebrate the life of Florence Robinson who had passed away on 4 November 9, 2013 at the age of ninety-one. Rev. Barry Boucher led the ceremony, with scripture readings from grand-daughter Tamara Woleston, tributes that were both tearful and joyful by Tristan Bailey on behalf of the grand-children, Diana Holder on behalf of the nieces and nephews and Elisha Campbell on behalf of the Jamaican community. Tidbits from the life of the deceased brought chuckles from the congregation as her children Keith, Violet and Joanne recounted what life was growing up under the strict but loving and lovable mother and grandmother. The service was followed by internment at the Beechwood cemetery.
