The Afro-Caribbean Cotillion is an annual mentorship program that culminates into a formal ball, at which young women and young men of African or Caribbean descent, between the ages of 15-22, are presented to the greater community, after training and guidance by a select group of mentors. This year’s event was held in the Empress Imperial ballroom of the Centurion Centre on Colonnade Road and was captured by our awesome photographer, Debbie Miller, who also happens to wear another hat as one of the mentors. Kudos to the amazing Suzan Lavertu, innovator, mover and shaker of this pinnacle of Ottawa’s annual social calendar.
