Henry Eruotor is a Nigerian filmmaker based in Ottawa, Canada. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from Delta State University, majoring in film production. His first film project was an adapataion of Wole Soyinka’s The Trials Of Brother Jero from stage to screen. Henry moved to Canada in 2007 and continued to hone his filmmaking skills at Algonquin College, where he joined other filmmakers in the Documentary Production program. He is passionate about Africa and is inspired by its people and their stories. Henry recently graduated from the University of Ottawa’s Master of Information Studies.
Otito (Truth) is a short film about profiling. It shows Ade, an intelligent young Nigerian man who decides to travel abroad for school. On arrival, it becomes increasingly obvious that he has inherited a reputation through no fault of his own.
