Kani Racheal Osiagwu: Graduate, St. Peter High School, Orleans

Kani Racheal Osiagwu graduated in June 2023 from St. Peter High School, Orleans, Ottawa. She is enthusiastic about community service and proudly supports initiatives favorable to diversity and inclusion matters.

“Throughout my Junior and Senior High years, I realized that schools and communities would progress exceptionally when they focus on amplifying various voices. Students from diverse backgrounds have distinctive opinions, which evoke exciting conversations and give us varied perspectives on life” she noted.

At St. Peter High School, Kani was actively involved in various activities. Kani served as the student body president, organizing events, and representing the students. Additionally, she coordinated a successful fundraiser and dedicated her time to coaching grade 7/8 sports.

She bagged the Ottawa Catholic Trustee Student Service Award given to a student who takes initiative and demonstrates leadership, extensive involvement in school activities for a minimum of three years, and community service.  Despite her busy schedule, she excelled in her studies.

“I volunteer every summer, but my experience as a volunteer with the Little Medical School Ottawa made me realize my passion for pediatric care. Consequently, after completing my undergraduate degree, I intend to attend medical school specializing in pediatrics”. Kani added.
