Dear CBCC Members,

The Board would like to thank Christelle Francois for her exemplary efforts as President. She shepherded the Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce (CBCC) through a time of transition with a relentless focus on better serving you. As Christelle journeys on to new endeavours we wish to express our thanks and appreciation for her time and dedication to the CBCC.

In the spirit of new beginnings, we wish to inform you that after an extensive and comprehensive search, we are delighted to formally welcome and introduce Michelle Meghie as the new President of the Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce effective November 4, 2021.

Michelle joins the CBCC with an established track record of improving member/customer experiences in a broad range of organizations and sectors. Michelle brings extensive experience in government, governance and non-profit institutions. Additionally, Michelle brings relevant expertise that will help the CBCC navigate through the complexities of a nation-wide post-pandemic world that is challenging the black businesses sector.

Over the coming months, Michelle will work closely with the Board and senior management to articulate our future strategy, as we continue to deliver on our purpose to help black businesses prosper and grow. Under Michelle’s leadership, we are on track for another year of strong growth across our lines of business and continued improvements in the services we offer.

Please join us in welcoming Michelle to The Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce. On behalf of CBCC’s
Board and employees, thank you for your ongoing support.

Best Regards,
On behalf of the Board of Directors
