My Father, who is my father?
What can you say to someone who has always been one of the most essential part of your life? There are so many things to say about my dad and I don’t know where to start. One thing everyone knows about my father is that, he is an extremely devoted father to all his children. He is indeed a man of all things, a man of many talents, a man of wisdom and integrity. For all those times I left it unsaid and this is my opportunity to say it all. Thank you father! Thank you for believing in me and encouraging me to dream and being such an inspiring presence in my life. I love the way I can laugh and joke with you and be so open. You are what every little girl should have the opportunity to call her dad. You put your kids first in everything that you do. I am growing up now and it’s time for me to start giving you the things that you want and deserve. You are the strength of our home and you are the king of our family. We look up to you and respect you. In all that I do your love plays a big part. There is always a place for you deep in my heart and each year that passes by, I am even more glad and grateful to call you my father. I don’t think you understand what your opinion means to me. Even though I act like a typical teenager and behave as though I couldn’t be bothered of what you thought of me, the honest truth is, I am terrified of the thought of you ever being disappointed in me. I put all this pressure on myself because I always have you in the back of my head wondering what you would think or how you would feel. There hasn’t been any decision that I have made that I haven’t thought about your approval before making the decision. Out of all three of your children I would say you and I are a lot alike. That’s why I feel as though I always need to impressing you. When I get compliments from people saying that I resemble you, it brings joy to my heart. I am literally the definition of “daddy’s little girl” and I wouldn’t want to have it any other way. Your love is as fresh as morning dew for that my daddy-Monty Frederic Domingo I say I love you. Happy Father’s Day!
