Professor Nduka Otiono wins FASS Research Excellence Award

The Director of the Institute of African Studies, Dr. Nduka Otiono, has been announced as one of the winners of the 2023 Faculty of Arts and social sciences (FASS) Research Excellence Award. The announcement was made in a statement issued by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), Dr. Pauline Rankin.

According to Dr. Rankin, “The impressive number of high-quality applications, adjudicated by the FASS Executive and ODFASS, made decisions very challenging.” These annual awards recognize outstanding researchers from Carleton’s academic staff. We extend our warm congratulations to this year’s recipients: Jennifer Evans (History), Barbara Leckie (English), Derek Mueller (DGES), Paul Nelles (History), and Nduka Otiono (IAS)
