February 14: Search the Scriptures
Opening prayer: Hallelujah! Praise be to God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
Father, thank you for this new day and new week. Thank You Lord, for Your Word that we’re going to enjoy in this devotional. May You Lord, open our eyes to see the wonderous things in all of Your Word and precepts, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
People of God, today, Let’s look at what God says about our relationship with the Scriptures as contained in the Holy Bible, the Word of God.
Reference: John 5: 39. You search the scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of me.
Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2: 15 KJV
whatever you seek, seek understanding, Proverb 4: 5-7
See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant. These are the duties of the prophet. Jeremiah 1:10.
Why? To know the mind of God for you, your family, your generation, your future and that of your children and your children’s children.
To sharpen your sword (tongue).
To use the Word in developing your mindset.
So that you can use the Word in prayers and prophesying.
To use in preaching and to bless others.
To know the will of God for you.
To use His Word to activate your angels.
For spiritual strength, knowledge, wisdom and understanding.
To use for power against satan and the kingdom of darkness.
God wants you to fill your heart with His Word so that your mouth will always speak the fullness of your heart which is faith and righteousness.
These are just a few of the benefits God wants you to begin today, in 2022, to make time to study the Bible. When you do, you’re doing the will of God for your life. He says in Joshua 1: 8, “ Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. NIV
The KJV: This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
I pray that the Lord will enable you to give a high value to the commandment of God and begin to search the scriptures, if you have not been doing so before, and if you’ve been doing so already, that the Spirit of God, the writer, the custodian, the empoweree and the deliverer of the Word to the righteous heart will strengthen you to continue even unto eternity, in the name of Jesus.
Prayers: Pray this prayer with me: Holy Ghost fire, I am available, let Your Word take control of me, in Jesus’ name.
I pray for you: O God, Your people are hungry for Your Word, let the power in Your Word locate and change, and prepare them for eternity, in Jesus’ mighty name. amen.
Toady’s reading: Leviticus 15 – 16; Matthew 27:1 – 26.
Benediction: Thank you for being here. The Lord bless you, guide you and protect you and your family today and through your journey this week and even forever, in the Jesus’ name.
Please share, in Jesus’ name.
