On Sunday, February 9, Black History Ottawa, in collaboration with Under The Mango tree, held its 12th annual “Children’s Stories in the Diaspora” event at the Ottawa Public Library, Nepean Centrepointe branch. Several readers from the black community, including author Seneka Nkanza, shared children’s stories written by black authors from the diaspora. Tarrah Mauricette (Chalè Entertainment) also treated the audience to her multimedia presentation on black hair, and the owners of Sankofa Bookstore brought a wide variety of books for sale.
