August 4 2014, Ottawa Docks
Residents and visitors to Ottawa were treated to a slice of Ottawa’s history as the city formerly known as By Town celebrated the life of its founding fathers, Colonel By. Reputed for building the famed Ottawa canal and much of the city’s infrastructure, Colonel By could not have imagined that his early innovative designs would lead to what Ottawa has become, a vibrant multicultural international centre bursting with government, private industry, educational and health institutions and a destination of choice for tourists from across the globe.
